My pastor is always there ready to pray and hold his church members up when they are struggling. He cries with us in the valleys of life and celebrates with us in the mountaintops of life. Both him and his wife have such a kind and gentle spirit that guides us. He is always ready for suggestions and concerns and connects with young and old alike. He works a 40 plus hour a week job and is a farmer along with being our pastor. Even with his busy life he has always visited me when sick, when I’ve faced loss of family, or when I just needed encouragement and I love him for that. His job is not easy, but if there is something I could say about making it all worth it, I would tell him that one day when you get to Heaven I know you will hear those precious words we all want to hear. ” Well done my good and faithful servant. ” You are a blessing and never doubt how much we love and appreciate you as a church!

God uses unlikely people in unlikely ways. I was the girl in college who, when learning of the freedom and forgiveness Jesus wanted to bring into my life, was so grateful yet so equally nervous at the thought of telling others. To have that be part of my job reminds me that God has a sense of humor! As does the fact that I have two Pugs, Mike and Ike, who are wild and crazy and super cute. Figuring out life with you at WBGL and listening to great music is a highlight for me, and I’m from Kansas City (the Missouri side!), so a Midwest girl through and through.
