On Friday, November 15th, Jesus is the Way Ministries (JITWM), a local outreach that ministers to the incarcerated, ex-offenders and their family members, is hosting their annual fundraising banquet at The I-Hotel Conference Center located at 1900 S. First St. in Champaign, IL 61820.
This year’s theme, is “Journey With Jesus,” and doors open at 6:30pm, with the banquet starting at 7:00pm. This annual fundraising banquet is to celebrate the lives being changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ through JITWM. For 47 years, Jesus is the Way has been serving others in our community by ministering in the jails and prisons as well as opening their aftercare center located in Rantoul in 1998. The goal is to bring people to salvation through Jesus while training and empowering them to become productive and responsible citizens in our communities. Their aftercare currently serves the male population. This banquet helps in supporting the mission of the ministry. In addition to a great meal, during the evening you will receive a blessing of hearing from the lives being affected through JITWM.
Our guest speaker this year is Tony Hoffman. Tony has overcome a complex journey of mental health struggles, substance abuse, and personal challenges to achieve remarkable success. Despite early accomplishments Tony faced debilitating anxiety, depression, and addiction. Following a period of incarceration, he dedicated himself to rebuilding his life, achieving his goals, and helping others. Today, Tony is a respected author, entrepreneur, and sought-after speaker.
