My pastor is always there ready to pray and hold his church members up when they are struggling. He cries with us in the valleys of life and celebrates with us in the mountaintops of life. Both him and his wife have such a kind and gentle spirit that guides us. He is always ready for suggestions and concerns and connects with young and old alike. He works a 40 plus hour a week job and is a farmer along with being our pastor. Even with his busy life he has always visited me when sick, when I’ve faced loss of family, or when I just needed encouragement and I love him for that. His job is not easy, but if there is something I could say about making it all worth it, I would tell him that one day when you get to Heaven I know you will hear those precious words we all want to hear. ” Well done my good and faithful servant. ” You are a blessing and never doubt how much we love and appreciate you as a church!

Doug Davis – Arthur Southern Baptist

Pastor Doug stays true to the Bible in his preaching, and he has a genuine love for our congregation. I know if I ask him to pray for something he truly will. He is always willing to help out on any project,and is a huge supporter of Operation Christmas Child. For Operation Christmas Child, Pastor Doug hugs every stuffed animal that he puts in a box at our packing parties, in hopes that a child will feel loved when he or she receives their box.

Join us for a wonderful evening of Christmas and holiday music by Memorial UMC’s music ministry! The Memorial UMC Chapel Bells, Joyful Noise, Chancel Choir and friends (along with string quartet and percussion), organist/pianist, Jinhee Kim, and children of the Memorial Preschool will perform a wide variety of music that includes many favorites, but also less familiar selections! There may even be some audience participation! And of course, cookies!
