I love my pastor because he loves church he encourages everyone to join he doesn’t preach anything outside of the word and his birthday is the same day as my incident day my second chance of life which makes it more I shouldn’t be here, but I’m glad I found a church that the pastor has a special connection with me with her birthdays my second birthday and his birthday same day
James Hollingsworth – First Church
Pastor James Hollingsworth has a true passion for teaching God’s Word. He shows up every Sunday and Thursday and preaches/teaches truth. Him and his wife, Virginia, have built their church from the ground up – starting in their living room with just them and their children. He is dedicated, humble, generous and strong in his faith. He leads by example and truly cares about every single soul who walks through the doors at First Church, and also the ones who don’t. He challenges each and every one of us to grow in our walks with God and encourages us if we fall down. We are so very “blessed with the best” here at First Church in Peru, IL and could never truly describe the appreciation we have for Pastor Hollingsworth and his wife, Virginia.
