Ministry Spotlight: Abolition International

We continue with our Ministry Spotlight in 2014, and in January we want to tell you about Abolition International.

Approximately 21 million people are enslaved around the world, more than any other time in history.

This isn't just something across the globe, it's right here in our own country too. It is estimated that 100,000 American children have been forced into the sex trade in the U.S.

Abolition International's Mission-
Is to bring an end to human trafficking & exploitation through education, empowerment, and comprehensive restorative care.

 Their key focuses are-
-RESTORATION: counseling and care for the mind, body and spirit of the women and children who have been trafficked and enslaved.
-EDUCATION: Educating the public and professionals in transportation, education, hospitality, healthcare, counseling and law enforcement about the realities of human trafficking.
-EMPOWERMENT: Providing tools and resources to help the public and professionals be able to recognize and make real-time reports regarding suspicious behavior via the "Abolitionist U" smartphone app.
