Walk for Life (Sun. Sep 21, 2014 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm)

This year’s Walk for Life will be held September, 21st at 2pm. The Walk for Life is an annual fundraiser to benefit the Pregnancy Care Clinics of Salem & Centralia. In Salem we walk from Bryan Memorial Park Shelter #1 to the court house and in Centralia the walk begins at the new Shelter #11 in Fairview Park and goes around the park.  Registration begins at both locations at 1:30pm and Walk begins at 2:00pm. For more information or registration forms please call or go online.

3rd Annual Pocket Full of Love 5k Run/Walk (Sun. Sep 21, 2014 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm)

The 3rd annual Pocket Full of Love - charity 5k Run/Walk with 1 mile fun run at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds Labor Pavilion on Sunday September 21st at 3pm. First Baptist Church of Maryville, 7110 State Route 162 in Maryville, is hosting a Free Dodgeball tournament. On Sunday 9/21 the Middle School Division (Grades 6 - 8) will take place 5-9pm. Also the High School Division (Grades 9-12) will take place at the same time. Sunday, 9/28 the Adult Division will take place from 5-9pm. It is free to enter. Josh Bleill will be speaking in the Ticket to Work seminar to help job seekers overcome the challenges of a disability on Wednesday, September 24th beginning at 8:30am at Holiday Inn, US Hwy 41 South in Terre Haute. Homespun Boutique will host a benefit workshop where guests will learn to create luxurious hand & body scrubs, by a local artisan on Wednesday, September 24th at 2612 N. Women of the Word Bible Study (Thu. Sep 25, 2014 9:00 am - 11:30 am)

Women of the Word's new Bible Study will be Walking with God in Faith, Hope, and Love by Ray Vander Laan. Open house registration will also be held on Thursday, August  28th  from 9-11am and 6-7pm, followed by the Kick Off from 7-9pm at at Waterman Presbyterian Church, 250 North Cedar Street in Waterman. WOW begins on Thursday, September 18th from 9-11:30am, and includes a children's program for nursery and preschool children. The evening WOW is held from 6:45-9pm.
