Join the Champaign County Down Syndrome Network for their 10th Annual Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 11th from 9am-2pm at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana. "Ladies Working w/ Creativity Day" will be held on Saturday, October 11th from 9am-5pm at the Living Word Church in Roberts IL. This is a day to scrapbook,or work on any craft of your choice. The cost is $10 per person. Lunch and drinks are provided. Girls 0-5 are free and girls 6-11 are $5, however there is no daycare provided so anyone under the age of 15 must be with an adult. Please RSVP a spot by Wednesday October 8th. This is an ongoing event set for every 2nd Saturday of the month.

The C-U Oktoberfest, held in downtown Champaign at the corner of Neil and Washington Streets will be happening on Saturday, October 11th from 3pm-midnight. Cost to enter is $5. All proceeds benefit the Developmental Services Center. Child-friendly activities will be from 3-5pm. At 4pm, the Regent Ballroom will offer a free polka demonstration and the bands begin at 5pm.
