2nd annual JCCFC Toledo Freedom Days 5k will be on June 29 preregistration is from 7:00-7:45 and the race will begin at 8:00a.m. Early Registration fee is 25.00 and after June 17 the registration fee is 30.00. All proceeds will go to the fitness center and community center at Jewett Community Church. The race will take place ion the north side of the square in Toledo. (Behind the post office). The Alsey Baptist Missions Committee is hosting the 2nd Annual 5K for Romania on Saturday, June 29th at 9am in Alsey IL. The proceeds for this Walk/Run will benefit the widows in Jdioara, Romania. Funds raised will be used to provide heat for widows in the small village. Minimum entry fee is $20.00 and the price includes a t-shirt. Pledges/sponsors are welcomed. Chris Walk Against Substance Abuse, a 501c agency that helps to educate the public and support those addicted to substances and their families. This is our 6th year and our 5K run will be hosted by the Midwest Misfits, members of the Road Runners Club of America. Other activities will include a 1-mile family friendly walk, raffles, silent auction, educational booths, vendor fair and more.
