WBGL Volunteer Ministry Qualifications
Commitment to Christ – Volunteers have a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Commitment to a Local Church – Volunteers are a part of a body of believers. Involvement in the WBGL Volunteer Ministry may provide spiritual growth and fellowship, but in no way should it be seen as a substitute for commitment to a local church.
Commitment to WBGL – Volunteers believe in and agree with the ministry of WBGL.
Commitment to Teamwork – Volunteers strive to be a team player in the ministry of WBGL.
Commitment to Confidentiality – Volunteers never disclose or discuss with any outside party the sensitive information that may be viewed or heard during activities at WBGL.
Commitment to Dependability – Because volunteers are partners with the staff and are so important to the ministry of WBGL, volunteers will be dependable and on time for projects and events.
Commitment to a Wholesome Christian Attitude and Lifestyle – Volunteers will have a wholesome attitude and lifestyle and their behavior at all times (not just while volunteering) will be honoring to God. Volunteers are expected to live by a Scriptural standard of behavior which is consistent with the principles of conduct in the Bible.
Volunteers agree at all times to refrain from:
a. The use of illegal drugs and narcotics
b. Excessive use of alcoholic beverages or misuse of medicines
b. Swearing or using language unbecoming to a Christian
c. Involvement in immoral activities (i.e. premarital sex, homosexuality, pornography, etc.)
d. Acts of dishonesty, such as lying, stealing, and cheating
e. Physical, verbal or sexual harassment of staff, volunteers or others
f. Any other behavior that is not God-honoring
