What’s your favorite vacation spot?
I have a lot of family in Pennsylvania, so the place I spend the most time when officially on vacation is there. However, I enjoy traveling anywhere and everywhere.
What’s the most important thing your parents taught you?
My parents taught me to not only read the Bible but how to study it and that it is not enough to read it but that it is as equally important to follow what it says.
How long have you been in radio?
If anyone had asked me as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would never even have thought of saying I wanted to be the internet guy at a radio network. After five years here (two as the internet guy), I’m glad that God leads us into better plans than we have for ourselves!
What’s the oddest job you ever had?
The oddest things I have ever encountered on the job would have to be during my time as a crew chief at a cleaning and restoration company. We did a lot of work in air quality control where we would clean out the heating and cooling ducts in people’s homes. It’s astounding the stuff that ends up in those things (broken jars of jelly, report cards, old pieces of fried chicken).
Have you ever been told you look like a celebrity?
When the Sam Raimi Spiderman movies were released, people used to tell me I looked like Tobey Maguire. I ran sound at a large church and I’m pretty sure that one of the worship leaders only knew me by the name “Spiderman”. It got weird enough that I grew a beard and that seemed to fix it.
