We have a kitchen command center. It consists of a Menu, a dry erase calendar, and a blank whiteboard for additional notes. Everyone in our family has their own color of dry erase marker for the calendar. When there is an activity for a specific family member it goes in their color and they know that when they look at the calendar all they have to look at is their color to know if they have an appointment, activity, etc. For instance, my husband's work schedule varies so, in order for us to keep track of him, we all know his color is red. We look for the red to know when he is working and when he is off.
