I use baking stones for baking my cookies. Cookies don't stick and they are great for cooking pizza and reheating it too!

Tired of fruit going 'bad in just a few days? Try this! When you come home from the store, fill the sink with water and 1/2 cup vinegar. Put fruit in and soak for about 20 minutes. It kills the spores on the fruit that grow mold and spoil the fruit. Oh. ... be sure to rinse the fruit well!

I spend a couple of hours on a Saturday preparing dinners for the week. I use a spiral notebook, make a menu up depending on the sales for the week. By keeping it in a notebook, I can refer back for meal ideas. It takes the guess work of whats for dinner to a minimum. You are also saving money (not ordering out) and eating healthier.

I work Monday-Saturday and take my lunch to work every day. Because I eat mainly fresh fruit or fresh veggies for lunch, I clean, cut and package them all on Sunday. I pack Monday's lunch when I complete the task of cleaning and packaging and stick my lunch box in the fridge. When I get home from work Monday evening, I pack Tuesday's lunch and stick it in the fridge, and so on.... It saves time and is easy to grab lunch and go! :)

We LOVE green onions in our house and it seems like we are always buying them. What we have learned is that if you cut the bottom of the bunch off about two inches and put it in a baby food jar with water- it grows green onions very quickly! You save money and time! We always have green onions now =)

I use parchment paper sheets (can be purchased at almost any restaurant supply business for about $15.00, but a box will last 3 years) when baking almost anything. Cookies come off really easy-no cleaning or sticking. Just grab a new sheet each time. I also use them on my other items like french fries, tator tots, baked veggies, almost anything I bake I use a parchment sheet. Saves time, and your pans.

When steaming anything like vegetables, meats, pot stickers/dumplings, etc., I cover the steamer surface with coffee filters before I place the food items there. I use just enough filters to cover the whole surface (usually just one for a smaller steamer). The coffee filter keeps the food from sticking, lets the steam through freely, and makes for a really easy clean up! :)

Instead of using a loaf pan to cook it, use a foil lined cookie sheet. Put 4 slices of bread on the foil in a square. Form your meatloaf on top of the bread. As it cooks the excess grease will be absorbed by the bread. When done take the meatloaf off with a turner, fold up the foil and toss it. Easy clean

up!

I love to cook but hate trying to figure out what to cook, so I have planned meals according the type of meal we will have that day. For example...Mondays...Soup and sandwiches...or salad...Tuesday Mexican...Wednesday..leftovers..Thursday..Oriental..Fridays ..Italian. This at least helps narrow it down, The family can than help/look forward to meals for the week. They can be very simple meals..Pizza, hamburger helper..as long as the theme is the same.
