If you are having trouble filling up a container/bucket that doesn't fit well under the sink (Mop Container, large bucket, etc.) and there is no hose that you can easily use. Then try using a (clean) Dustpan and fit it under the sink and it fills the conatiner for you. Here is a picture for you to better visualize it. http://i.imgur.com/MPK0l.jpg

One way to save money is to use white vinegar for your household cleaning. With a 50/50 solution of white vinegar in a spray bottle you can clean almost everything in your home. Toilets, tubs, & sinks will not only be cleaned but sanitized as well. This will also minimize food bacteria on kitchen counters & leave the kitchen shiny clean. For a sudsy cleaner, you can add a drop or two of dishwashing liquid. If you add suds you will want to keep a separate bottle for cleaning glass so it doesn't leave a film on the glass. White vinegar & water will also remove stains from carpet & clothes. Always test first (I've learned my lesson from not testing a spot first) You might want to weaken the solution to 25 vinegar/75 water for colored items since white vinegar has a mild bleaching effect. But this is a cheap, but great way to clean and it doesn't leave a strong vinegar smell.

This is what I do to help ease doing laundry. I used to wait till the weekend to do it and it just got overwhelming for meInstead of doing it all on the weekends I now do a load every other day during the week. I put a load at night right before bed, throw it in the dryer in the morning when I wake up and fold it in the evening while I'm watching tv or chatting with my hubby. The loads are smaller when you do it this way and by the time the weekend rolls around, you only have a small pile to worry about. I'm a full-time working mom and doing laundry every other day now has REALLY HELPED me!

I cleaned other peoples houses for 10 years and I always suggested they switch to make my job easier, so I could concentrate on other things. I've used it for 20 years or so and I don't have to spend hours cleaning my shower and tub.

I gave up sorting socks when I delegated this chore to my husband and children many years ago when they were small. My husband promptly threw out all the socks and purchased a dozen new pair of socks for everyone. Each had a different style or different color toe. Now when laundry is done, they just separate the sock by color/style and you don't have to match because they're all the same!

I like to fold up my sheet sets and slip them inside one of the pillow cases that go with the set. Not only does it keep everything together, it also takes up less space in the linen closet.

With a family of 5, I was spending way too much time sorting laundry. I went to the store and found these affordable chrome and canvas 4-section laundry sorters on wheels. I bought 2. One to go in mine and my husbands closet and one to go in the kids closet. Now, every night when we're all changing for bed, everyone puts their own clothes from the day into the selected canvas bags. I just pull out the nicely handled bags of my choice, take them down to the washing machine and put the clothes in. We have labeled each of the 4 bags for the kids- one for whites, colors, reds/pinks, and jeans. You can label them for however you like to sort your laundry. It's easy enough for every age in the house to do. I never have to go back to sorting laundry again :0)

Let the kids mop the floor Pippi Longstocking style! (washclothes on their feet as if they are rollerskating) never underestimate the willingness factor to clean when fun is involved! Less work for you, more memories for the family. Ah and a bonus... a clean floor!

Keep a supply of plastic bag liners in the bottom of your kitchen, garage or bathroom trash cans. That way, when you empty one bag, another fresh bag is handy

for you to pull out and immediately replace. You'll never find yourself with a hand full of trash and no liner in the can!
