Faith

Reminder

Category: Faith

I place a paper, note card, mirror art or a magnet on my mirror in my bathroom to remind me of what God is trying to teach me. When I go into the bathroom I see it and read it out loud to rehearse God's desires for me! When I get it into my Spirit, I put up a new reminder. If i need healing. I will put up healing scriptures to declare each day. If I need to be more loving, I declare that I see people the way He does and have more compassion. Put up several notes if there is room, to speak over your life. Life is in the power of the tongue and I choose to speak life over myself and my family!

Proverbs 31

Category: Faith

I try to follow Proverbs 31 with everything. It can break down pretty much anything you might face in life. Example"look to the fields- if it isn't profitable to your family, money or mentally, get it our of your life", And when it talks about clothing, go to resale stores etc.. Every aspect could be put to the direction of Proverbs 31, if it doesn't fit, change it.

Starting the Day with Prayer

Category: Faith

Very simply, I start my day with "Lord, I place myself in your hands this day, please guide my words, deeds, and actions to best serve you" Then I let God "do his thing". When I do this, my day just seems to go by so smoothly. Then at the end of the day I thank the Lord for the blessings of this day and again say "I place myself in your hands this night"

The Word

Category: Faith

I start my day at 4:50 am, drive an hour and and 15 min. to work, get home at 5:50 PM get dinner, dishes, laundry etc. This leaves little time for the Word. So I got the Bible on CD and listen and meditate and pray during the drive. Gets the Word in you to start your day.

Rest

Category: Faith

One thing I like to do is get well-rested. When I wake up, the first thing I like to do is smile and tell God thank you for giving me the gift of life. Then I set up little goals for my day. I categorize them into letters. I create at least three goals for myself. Sometimes even ten. They aren't very big goals, they can be something like practicing my piano for thirty minutes, or reading the Bible for fifteen minutes and the next day, twenty. John 10:10 says, " A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of."

Let Go, Let God

Category: Faith

Mind your own business and Let go and let God by focusing on the only person you can affect or change...Yourself. Love and support others but allow them the respect and opportunity to grow from their own experiences in life. This concept has not only simplified my life in 2012 but greatly improved my relationships and provided an unbelievable peace by stepping aside and truly letting God do His job.

Simplify

Category: Faith

So many times we tend to think of ourselves and wonder 'why me?'. Instead, think 'Why not me?' You will find it eases your life and thoughts by realizing that God is with you through each joy and sorrow, happiness and pain, times of peace and times of trial. He gave His all for us, so why not give our all for Him! Let Him simplify our life!

Journey of Faith

Category: Faith

This year God took me on a journey of faith and as an added bonus awareness. One of the blessings of that journey was my beginning to make homemade cleaners. I found a cleaner that I love. It is so simple that you will have all the ingredients you need already. It consists of water, vinegar , alcohol and lemon juice. You can use it from the toilet to the mirror. I don't think it can be easier. I am so thankful to God and I am having such fun making my own cleaners that I have moved on to personal care items.

Pray

Category: Faith

I pray every morning for God's protection and grace to simplify my day at school every day.

Prayer

Category: Faith

Personally when I plan a list of things I expect to get done and continuously look at the list I'm unmotivated and overwhelmed as well as having the feeling that I did not accomplish what I needed to. I have found that its better for me to pray for motivation, turn on some good music and let it happen, the more I get done without the expectations the better I feel that I can put things on a list of completion instead of whats left to-do.
